In the year 1989, a group of students passed out the West-Bengal Secondary Board exam. from Baranagore Ramakrishna Mission Ashram High School of which around 35 students were belong to Section ‘B’, who then promised to keep the friendship till their last breath.
After that they scattered in different part of this city for their higher education and then for jobs to maintain their family. Most of them are now married and also proud fathers of son and daughter. But they do remember in every step of life….. The oath….. friendship to retain.
Proloy and Debojyoti…. Kept the promise….died premature fighting cancer .
In March 2010, Arindam, Biman, Sourav, Bitan planned for a get together and it actually happened on 11th April,2010 at Sourav’s residence .
Eleven of them met each other after a long interval and time flowed as a whitewater recalling those priceless moments of the school-days.
An important decision was taken to form an NGO to serve our society, especially needy children and their family. The name of the NGO was selected unanimously, ‘89B…we together’.
